As part of Shana Moulton’s exhibition at MoMA, we collaborated on one of our signature music-theater works in the Kravis Performance gallery. I also scored the installation video.

Arthur Russell - City Park (2023)
I reconstructed and directed a performance of Arthur Russell’s 1973 composition at the New York City AIDS Memorial.

Deep Blue Sea (2021)
As music director of Bill T. Jones’s magnum opus at the Park Avenue Armory, I synthesized live vocal music with a multichannel electronic score featuring contributions from HPrizm, Holland Andrews, and Rena Anakwe. This was seamlessly integrated into video design by Liz Diller/Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Peter Nigrini.

The sound for this excerpt, “Violation Essay” was mixed for three hemispheric rings of speakers—above, at the the height of, and below—the seated audience, designed by Mark Grey.

This ancillary work to Deep Blue Sea (2021), designed for proscenium stages toured internationally through 2023.

Whispering Pines 10 (2010-2020)
In 2010, artist Shana Moulton and I staged a musical adaptation of her video art series, Whispering Pines, at The Kitchen. After touring it as a live performance for several years, in 2018, we launched a digital version, culminating in 2020 as a single-channel video, gallery installation, and web site.
